# FAQ Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/faq Answers to the most common questions about Shotgun. *** ## Account & Login Shotgun supports two ways to sign in: 1. **Phantom** - sign in with your Phantom account 2. **Google** - sign in with your Google account Turnkey is a wallet infrastructure provider that handles authentication and key management. When you sign in with Google, Turnkey creates an embedded wallet for you - your private keys are encrypted with your password and Turnkey cannot access them. When you connect an existing wallet, your keys never leave your wallet. No. Shotgun cannot recover your password. Your password encrypts your private keys - without it, the keys cannot be decrypted. This is by design to ensure your funds are fully in your control. **If you still have your private keys, you can restore your wallet** in any compatible wallet app (Phantom, Solflare, etc.) and recover access to your funds. Go to **Wallet Management** - **Export Private Key** - Copy Private Key. Store it safely offline - never digitally. *** ## Fees Shotgun charges a flat **1% platform fee** on every trade. This fee applies uniformly across all order types - Market, Limit, Instant Trade, and Convert. Every trader on Shotgun earns cashback on that 1% fee - starting at 50% and scaling up to 100% based on your lifetime trading volume. In addition, every Solana transaction requires a **network fee** (Priority Fee + optional Bribe) paid directly to Solana validators. You set these amounts yourself in the transaction settings. Yes. Shotgun offers up to **100% SOL cashback** on platform fees, starting at a base rate of **50%**. Cashback is earned on every trade and paid out in SOL. Yes. Users who sign up through a **referral link** receive a permanent **10% discount** on Shotgun's platform fee. The discount is applied automatically - no code needed. * **Priority Fee** - extra payment to Solana validators to process your transaction faster, especially during congestion * **Bribe** - additional tip paid to block builders (Jito) to prioritise your transaction; also helps with MEV protection * **Slippage** - the maximum % price change you'll accept between submitting and executing a trade; not a fee, but affects your effective execution price *** ## Trading Common reasons for failed transactions: 1. **Slippage too low** - the price moved more than your slippage tolerance before confirmation; increase slippage and retry 2. **Insufficient SOL for fees** - you need SOL to cover network fees, even when selling tokens 3. **Priority fee too low** - during high congestion, increase your priority fee to improve success rate 4. **Token has sell restrictions** - some tokens have a freeze authority or high sell tax that prevents selling Slippage is the difference between the price you expect when you submit a trade and the price at which it actually executes. If the price moves more than your slippage tolerance during confirmation, the transaction is cancelled. * **Too low** - frequent failed transactions * **Too high** - you accept a worse price than expected For most Solana tokens, **1-3% slippage** is a good starting point. For new launches or low-liquidity tokens, you may need **5-20%**. **MEV (Maximal Extractable Value)** is a technique where bots detect your incoming transaction and place their own buy before yours, then sell immediately after - forcing you into an instant loss (called a "sandwich attack"). **MEV Protection** routes your transaction through protected channels to prevent bots from seeing it before it confirms. * **Enable MEV Protection** when trading tokens with high activity or during volatile market conditions * MEV Protection is most important for **buy** transactions * It may slightly slow execution in exchange for better trade safety Limit orders on Solana are managed by Shotgun's order system. When your trigger price is reached, Shotgun submits a market order on your behalf. Execution is not 100% guaranteed during extreme volatility or network congestion - but Shotgun's infrastructure is optimised for reliability. *** ## Portfolio Your Portfolio shows the **current market value** of your token holdings, updating in real time as prices move. Differences between portfolio value and wallet balance can occur because: * Token prices fluctuate constantly * Unrealized PnL is reflected in portfolio value but not SOL balance * Dust positions may appear in your wallet but be filtered from the portfolio view **Burn Token** in the **Token Holdings** tab to instantly convert small token balances that are too small to sell into SOL. This keeps your wallet clean and clutter-free. *** ## Referral Program Shotgun has a **5-tier referral system** with earnings across **5 levels deep**. Your tier is determined by how many active referrals you have: | Tier | Requirement | Total Rev Share | | ------------- | --------------------- | --------------- | | **Scout** | Base tier | 30% | | **Operative** | 10+ active referrals | 35% | | **Commander** | 25+ active referrals | 40% | | **Warlord** | 50+ active referrals | 45% | | **Overlord** | 100+ active referrals | 50% | Your unique referral link is available in the **Refer** section of the platform. Users who sign up through your link receive a permanent **10% trading fee discount**. A referral is counted as active once they have completed at least one trade on Shotgun. No. Referral rewards are unlimited - the more volume your network generates, the more you earn. Note that once a referred user reaches 100% cashback and no longer pays platform fees, your referral earnings from that user will stop. *** ## Security Non-custodial. Shotgun never holds your private keys. If you use Phantom, your keys stay in your wallet. If you use Google login, your keys are created and encrypted by Turnkey using your password - Shotgun and Turnkey cannot access them. **Do not share it.** This is a scam. No legitimate Shotgun team member, support agent, or moderator will ever ask for your seed phrase, private key, or password. Report the account in the official Shotgun Discord immediately. Report it in the official Shotgun Discord with the URL. Always verify you are on `shotgun.fun` before connecting your wallet. *** ## Monetization Shotgun relies on Payment-For-Order-Flow (PFOF) mechanisms, mainly gas rebates and non-toxic backruns, to sustain high cashback offerings. As proven by TradFi giants like Robinhood, these systems provide enough fuel to grow and scale. All other terminals have access to these revenue streams, but choose to double dip on your flow and maximize extraction. We don't. The following are the addresses to which the fees will be sent. Whenever you find a transfer made from your wallet to one of these addresses, this would a fee payment to Shotgun.fun. | Chain | Address | | ---------- | -------------------------------------------- | | **Solana** | 2E2ArNAgAa3rAsvePbDw6hzVPtKeVNjVAW46U2zVXcqn | # Trader Scan Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/features/trader-scan Shotgun now includes a Trader Scan feature embedded directly within the orderbook interface. This allows users to view detailed wallet-level activity for **any** token they're tracking! For each trader interacting with a specific Memecoin, it's easy to see how much they've bought or sold, their current balance, and even their realized PnL. This helps users quickly identify whether a wallet is accumulating, offloading, or flipping for gains. Additionally, the tool shows how long each wallet has been holding the token, offering extra context around conviction and timing. It gives traders a clearer picture of who's behind the moves - and how experienced or committed they might be. #### Benefits of Using Trader Scan The Trader Scan feature provides several advantages for users: * **Transparency**: Gain insights into wallet-level activities, making trading decisions more informed. * **Strategic Analysis**: Assess the market stance of traders, distinguishing accumulators, sellers, and speculators. * **Enhanced Decision-Making**: Use data on wallet longevity and trading patterns to determine market sentiment and trader hold times. # Tweet Monitor Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/features/tweet-monitor Shotgun's built-in Tweet Monitor scans key crypto X (formerly Twitter) accounts in real time - giving you instant access to market-moving tweets without leaving the platform. No third-party trackers, no extra subscriptions. *** ## Custom X Tracker Track the accounts that matter to you. Add your own X handles directly in Shotgun to receive real-time alerts whenever they post. # Twitter Preview Popup Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/features/twitter-preview-popup Many of Solana's Memecoins are based from something called "narratives". These Narratives are based on tweets and you have to react quickly to get in at a good price. That is why Shotgun added an X (formerly Twitter) preview popup directly into Shotgun's Pulse! **NOTE:** The Twitter Preview Popup only works for tweets and not actual X (formerly Twitter) handles! # Fees Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/fees Understanding what you pay on each trade helps you maximize your returns. Shotgun has two distinct fee layers - And one always comes back to you. Shotgun's 1% platform fee is cashback-eligible from day one. Every trader starts at **50% cashback** and can earn up to **100%** - meaning you could effectively trade with zero platform cost. Your total cost per trade = **Shotgun Fee (1%) − Cashback** + Solana Priority Fee + Optional Tip. # Shotgun Fees Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/fees/shotgun-fees Shotgun charges a flat **1% platform fee** on every trade, applied uniformly across all trade sizes, tokens, and order types - Market, Limit, Instant Trade, and Convert. But here's the difference: **you get it back.** Every trader on Shotgun earns cashback on that 1% fee - starting at **50%** and scaling up to **100%** based on your lifetime trading volume. The more you trade, the more you earn back. Shotgun is the only trading platform in crypto offering up to **100% cashback** on platform fees. See [Cashback System](../reward-system) for full tier details. ## Fee Breakdown Per Trade Every trade you execute on Shotgun has three potential cost components: | Cost Component | Amount | Who Receives It | | ------------------------ | --------------------- | ---------------------------------------- | | **Shotgun Platform Fee** | 1% of trade value | Shotgun (partially returned as cashback) | | **Solana Priority Fee** | Variable (set by you) | Solana validators | | **Solana Tip (Bribe)** | Variable (set by you) | Block builders | The Shotgun platform fee (1%) and Solana network fees are separate costs. The total you pay per trade depends on your Priority Fee and Tip settings. ## Your Effective Fee After Cashback | Cashback Tier | Cashback Rate | Effective Platform Fee | | ---------------- | ------------- | ---------------------- | | ROOKIE (default) | 50% | 0.50% | | JOYRIDER | 60% | 0.40% | | GEARHEAD | 70% | 0.30% | | DRAG RACER | 80% | 0.20% | | HOTSHOT | 85% | 0.15% | | FRONTRUNNER | 90% | 0.10% | | LEADER | 95% | 0.05% | | CHAMPION | 100% | 0.00% | ## Where to See Your Fees The platform fee and estimated Solana network fees are displayed in the trade confirmation screen before you confirm any transaction. You always see your full cost before committing to a trade. *** # Solana Fees Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/fees/solana-fees When trading on Solana through Shotgun, you control several transaction settings that affect speed, success rate, and cost. Tuning these correctly gives you a real execution edge. Solana network fees are separate from Shotgun's platform fee and are paid directly to validators. They are not cashback-eligible. ## Priority Fee The Priority Fee is an extra payment made to Solana validators to increase the likelihood of faster confirmation - especially during high network congestion or when trading high-volume tokens. * **Default:** 0.001 SOL * **When to increase:** During high network congestion or when trading newly launched tokens * **Presets available** - switch quickly between preset fee levels to adapt to market conditions If your transactions are failing or slow, increasing your Priority Fee is usually the first fix. ## Slippage Slippage is the difference between the expected trade price when you submit and the actual price when it executes. Setting a slippage limit ensures your trade only executes within your acceptable price range. * **Too low** → frequent failed transactions during volatile markets * **Too high** → you accept a worse price than expected * For most tokens, **1–3%** is a good starting point * For new launches or low-liquidity tokens, **5–20%** may be needed If you are not using MEV Protection, keep your slippage low - high slippage with no MEV protection makes your transaction an easy target for sandwich attacks. ## MEV Protection Shotgun includes built-in MEV protection to shield your trades from front-running bots. * **Off** - no protection. Your trades are exposed to MEV bots, which may result in worse entry prices. * **On** - transactions are routed through protected channels, reducing the risk of front-running and sandwich attacks. Shotgun recommends keeping MEV Protection **On** at all times. ## Bribe A Bribe is an additional tip paid to block builders (Jito) to prioritize your transaction above others. * **Default:** 0.001 SOL * **Optional** - but recommended during high-volume trading periods or new token launches * Works alongside the Priority Fee to maximize transaction success rate ## Custom RPC By default, Shotgun routes all transactions through its own RPC. If you have access to a private RPC, you can plug it in directly. To use a custom RPC, paste your URL into the **RPC** field in your settings.\ Note: this caps your total cashback at 80% instead of 100%. # Quest Points Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/point-system Shotgun's Quest Terminal rewards you with points for your daily trading activity. Complete quests, stack points, and climb the leaderboard - your point multiplier scales with your Cashback Tier, so the more you trade, the faster you earn. *** ## Quest Terminal Overview The Quest Terminal tracks your points across four key stats: | Stat | Description | | ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | | **Total Quest Points** | Your all-time accumulated point balance | | **Points Earned Today** | Points collected in the current day | | **Point Multiplier** | Your active multiplier based on your Cashback Tier | | **Quests Completed** | Total number of quests you have finished | *** ## Quest Types Quests are split across three time periods: * **Daily** - reset every 24 hours; the primary source of recurring points * **Weekly** - higher-stakes versions of daily quests with larger point rewards * **Seasonal** - limited-time quests tied to Shotgun campaigns and events (coming soon) *** ## Daily Quests ### Trading | Quest | Description | | -------------------- | ------------------------------ | | **Do 5 Trades** | Complete 5 trades in a day | | **Land a Big Trade** | Execute a trade worth 1+ SOL | | **Daily Volume** | Trade 1 SOL in volume in a day | ### Earnings | Quest | Description | | ---------------------- | --------------------------------------- | | **Cashback Collector** | Earn 0.1 SOL in cashback in a day | | **Affiliate Earner** | Earn 0.1 SOL in affiliate fees in a day | | **Claim Rewards** | Initiate a fee claim today | ### Social | Quest | Description | | ----------------- | ------------------------- | | **Refer Friends** | Refer 1 friend to Shotgun | ### Engagement | Quest | Description | | -------------------- | -------------------------------- | | **Wallet Collector** | Connect 1 wallet to your account | | **Wallet Explorer** | Explore a wallet on Shotgun | *** ## Weekly Quests ### Trading | Quest | Description | | -------------------- | ------------------------------- | | **Do 25 Trades** | Complete 25 trades in a week | | **Land a Big Trade** | Execute a trade worth 5+ SOL | | **Daily Volume** | Trade 5 SOL in volume in a week | ### Earnings | Quest | Description | | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------- | | **Cashback Collector** | Earn 0.5 SOL in cashback in a week | | **Affiliate Earner** | Earn 0.5 SOL in affiliate fees in a week | | **Claim Rewards** | Initiate a fee claim 3 times | ### Social | Quest | Description | | ----------------- | -------------------------- | | **Refer Friends** | Refer 3 friends to Shotgun | ### Engagement | Quest | Description | | -------------------- | ------------------------------------ | | **Wallet Collector** | Connect 3 wallets to your account | | **Wallet Explorer** | Explore a wallet on Shotgun 20 times | *** ## Point Multiplier Your point multiplier is determined by your **Cashback Tier**. Every point you earn from quests is multiplied by your active tier multiplier - so higher-volume traders earn points significantly faster. | Cashback Tier | Multiplier | | ------------- | ---------- | | ROOKIE | 1.0x | | JOYRIDER | 2.0x | | GEARHEAD | 2.5x | | DRAG RACER | 3.0x | | HOTSHOT | 3.5x | | FRONTRUNNER | 4.0x | | LEADER | 4.5x | | CHAMPION | 5.0x | Your multiplier upgrades automatically when you reach the next Cashback Tier threshold. See [Cashback Tiers](/getting-started/reward-system) for the full volume requirements. *** ## Leaderboard Your total Quest Points contribute to the Shotgun leaderboard, which ranks all users by accumulated points. The leaderboard is visible from your Quest Terminal dashboard. # Referral Program Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/referral-program Shotgun's Referral Program lets you earn a share of trading fees generated by every user you refer - and a share of the fees generated by their referrals, down to 5 levels deep. The more active referrals you have, the higher your tier and the more you earn. *** ## How It Works When you share your referral link and someone signs up through it, they become your **direct referral**. Every time they trade on Shotgun, you earn a percentage of the platform fee collected on that trade. **Referral Bonus:** Users who join Shotgun through a referral link receive a **10% cashback bonus** on top of the default ROOKIE tier - starting at **60% cashback** instead of 50%. Your earnings don't stop there. You also earn a smaller share from the trades of anyone referred by your referrals - all the way down to **5 levels deep**. Your tier determines the exact percentage earned at each level. Your tier is determined by how many **active referrals** you have. The more active traders in your network, the higher your tier - and the higher your revenue share. ## Tier Breakdown **Crew** is the starting tier, available to all users from day one. * **Total Rev Share:** 30% * **Direct referral share:** 22% * **Level 2 share:** 3% * **Level 3 share:** 2.5% * **Level 4 share:** 1.5% * **Level 5 share:** 1% **Engineer** unlocks when you have 10 or more active referrals in your network. * **Total Rev Share:** 35% * **Direct referral share:** 25% * **Level 2 share:** 4% * **Level 3 share:** 3% * **Level 4 share:** 2% * **Level 5 share:** 1% **Chief** unlocks at 25 active referrals. * **Total Rev Share:** 40% * **Direct referral share:** 30% * **Level 2 share:** 4% * **Level 3 share:** 3% * **Level 4 share:** 2% * **Level 5 share:** 1% **Principal** unlocks at 50 active referrals. * **Total Rev Share:** 45% * **Direct referral share:** 33% * **Level 2 share:** 5% * **Level 3 share:** 3.5% * **Level 4 share:** 2% * **Level 5 share:** 1.5% **Legend** is the highest tier, unlocking at 100 active referrals. * **Total Rev Share:** 50% * **Direct referral share:** 35% * **Level 2 share:** 6% * **Level 3 share:** 4% * **Level 4 share:** 3% * **Level 5 share:** 2% *** ## Key Notes * **No earnings cap** - referral rewards are unlimited. The larger and more active your network, the more you earn. * **Active referral** - a referral counts as active once they have made at least one trade on Shotgun. * **Tier upgrades are automatic** - your tier updates as your active referral count crosses each threshold. You do not need to apply or claim anything. * **Revenue share is based on Shotgun's net platform fee** - after any discounts applied to the referred user's account. * **5-level deep earnings** - the higher your tier, the more levels you earn from. # Cashback System Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/reward-system Shotgun rewards active traders with cashback on platform fees. The more volume you trade, the higher your tier - and the more of your fees you get back. Cashback is calculated as a percentage of Shotgun's platform fee on each trade. Higher tiers return a greater share of that fee directly to you. Shotgun's platform fee is 1%. *** ## Tier Overview | Cashback Tier | Cashback | | --------------- | -------- | | **ROOKIE** | 50% | | **JOYRIDER** | 60% | | **GEARHEAD** | 70% | | **DRAG RACER** | 80% | | **HOTSHOT** | 85% | | **FRONTRUNNER** | 90% | | **LEADER** | 95% | | **CHAMPION** | 100% | Volume Required refers to your **cumulative total trading volume** on Shotgun. Once you cross a threshold, your tier upgrades automatically. **Referral Bonus:** Users who join Shotgun through a referral link receive a **10% cashback bonus** on top of the default ROOKIE tier - starting at **60% cashback** instead of 50%. *** ## How Tiers Work **Tiers are based on lifetime volume.** Every trade you make on Shotgun counts toward your total volume. As your cumulative volume crosses each threshold, your cashback tier increases - permanently. **Tier upgrades are automatic.** You don't need to claim or apply for a tier change. Your cashback rate updates as soon as the threshold is reached. **Progress is visible in your dashboard.** Each tier card shows your current progress toward the next tier - including exactly how much additional volume is needed to unlock it. *** ## CHAMPION - Full Cashback At CHAMPION tier, you receive **100% cashback** on Shotgun's platform fee - meaning you effectively trade with zero platform cost. All fees collected on your trades are returned to you. # Security Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/security Shotgun is built on a non-custodial model - your funds are always yours. Understanding how the system works helps you protect yourself. *** ## Wallet Custody & Turnkey Shotgun uses **Turnkey** to handle authentication and wallet key management. How your keys are secured depends on how you signed up: ### If you sign in with a wallet (Phantom) * Phantom is used to sign in only. Shotgun has no access to your wallet or its contents * A separate, non-custodial Shotgun trading wallet is created for you, secured by Turnkey * You can export your Shotgun wallet keys at any time * You stay in control of your funds, in both wallets, at all times ### If you signed up with Email or Google * Turnkey generates an **embedded wallet** for you * Your private keys are encrypted using your account password - Turnkey itself cannot access them * Keys are stored in encrypted form; only your password unlocks them * You can export your private keys at any time from your account Settings *** ## Your Password If you use email or Google login, your account password is the key to your embedded wallet. **Shotgun cannot recover your password.** If you lose your password and haven't backed up your recovery phrase, you may permanently lose access to your wallet and funds. Save your password offline, somewhere physically secure. * Store your password offline (not in a notes app, not in a screenshot) * Use a password manager if you need digital storage * Never share your password with anyone - Shotgun support will never ask for it *** ## Exporting Your Private Keys You can also export your raw private key from wallet management menu. Only export your private key in a **trusted, secure environment** - never on a shared computer, public WiFi, or in response to a request from anyone online. A private key grants complete, irreversible control over all funds in that wallet. **How to Export Your Private Keys:** 1. Open your Shotgun account Settings 2. Navigate to the Wallet Management 3. Click on Export Private Key 4. Copy Private key to a secure place *** ## Protecting Against Phishing Phishing is the most common way crypto users lose funds. Attackers create fake versions of Shotgun to steal your credentials or seed phrase. **Always verify you're on the official Shotgun domain before connecting your wallet or entering any credentials.** ### Official Shotgun Links | Resource | URL | | ----------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Website | [https://shotgun.fun](https://shotgun.fun) | | App | [https://app.shotgun.fun](https://app.shotgun.fun) | | X (Twitter) | [https://x.com/shotgundotfun](https://x.com/shotgundotfun) | | Discord | [https://discord.gg/shotgundotfun](https://discord.gg/shotgundotfun) | If a link you received doesn't match the official URLs above - **do not connect your wallet**. Report suspicious links in the official Shotgun Discord. *** ## Smart Contract Risk When trading any token on Solana, you are interacting with smart contracts that Shotgun does not control. Be aware: * **Rug pulls** - token developers can remove liquidity and abandon the project * **Honeypots** - some tokens can be bought but not sold * **Mint authority** - if not revoked, developers can create unlimited new tokens and dilute your holdings * **Freeze authority** - some tokens can have trading frozen by the developer Use the **Holders** section on any token page to check for concentrated ownership, active dev wallets, and vesting indicators before buying. *** ## Trading Risk Disclosure Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk. Prices can move dramatically in short periods. Shotgun is a tool - it does not guarantee profits or protect against market losses. * Only trade with funds you can afford to lose * Limit orders and stop losses can help manage risk but are not guaranteed to execute at your exact target price during extreme volatility * Past performance does not predict future results # Signup Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/getting-started/signup ## Getting Started with Shotgun Shotgun uses **Turnkey** for authentication and wallet management. Deposit SOL directly into your new wallet address, or buy SOL instantly through **Onramper** - supporting multiple payment methods including card and bank transfer. **Access your recovery phrase at any time** in your account Settings. We also recommend importing your recovery phrase into a standard wallet like Phantom - this ensures you always have direct access to your funds under any circumstances. #### Never share your recovery phrase Shotgun displays your seed phrase (Secret Recovery Phrase). Write it down and store it somewhere physically safe. **Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone - not Shotgun support, not on Telegram, not anywhere.** # Glossary Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/glossary Key terms used throughout Shotgun and in crypto trading. *** ## A **Available Balance** The amount of SOL in your wallet that is currently liquid and available to use for new trades. Does not include SOL reserved for open limit orders. *** ## B **Bonding Curve** A pricing mechanism used by platforms like Pump.fun where the price of a token increases as more people buy it. When a token reaches 100% of its bonding curve, it migrates to a decentralized exchange (like Raydium) where open-market trading begins. **Bribe / Tip** An optional extra payment included in a Solana transaction to incentivize block builders (like Jito) to prioritize and include your transaction. Higher bribes improve success rates during congestion and help prevent MEV attacks. **Bundlers %** The percentage of a token's supply held across coordinated bundle wallets. High bundler % can indicate artificial concentration or coordinated pump-and-dump activity. Visible in the Token Information panel on the token page. *** ## D **DEX (Decentralized Exchange)** A trading venue that operates via smart contracts without a central authority. Shotgun routes trades through Solana DEXes like Raydium. **Dev Holding %** The percentage of a token's total supply held by the developer's wallet. High dev holdings are a risk indicator - developers can sell large amounts at any time. **Dex Paid** Indicates whether the token developer has paid for a DEX listing. Visible in the Token Information panel. A paid listing can signal some level of project commitment. *** ## F **Freeze Authority** A permission built into some Solana token contracts that allows the creator to freeze all trading on the token. If a token has an active freeze authority, the developer can prevent anyone from buying or selling. *** ## G **Graduating** Tokens that are close to completing their bonding curve and migrating to a DEX. Visible in the Trenches board as the middle column. These tokens have proven demand and migration often triggers a sharp price move. **Graduated** Tokens that have successfully completed their bonding curve and migrated to a DEX for open-market trading. Visible in the Trenches board as the right column. *** ## I **Insiders %** The percentage of a token's supply held by insider wallets - typically early or private participants. High insider % can indicate a setup for a coordinated dump. Visible in the Token Information panel. *** ## L **Liquidity** The total value of tokens and SOL locked in a token's trading pool. Higher liquidity means less price impact per trade (lower slippage) and greater price stability. **Liquidity Lock** When a project locks its liquidity pool for a set period, preventing the developers from withdrawing it (a "rug pull"). Shown with a 🔒 icon on token pages. **LP Burned** Liquidity Pool tokens that have been permanently burned, meaning the liquidity can never be removed by the developer. Burned LP is a positive signal - it eliminates rug pull risk on the liquidity side. Visible in the Token Information panel. *** ## M **Market Cap** The current total value of a token's circulating supply. Formula: Current Price × Circulating Supply. **MEV (Maximal Extractable Value)** A technique where bots monitor the Solana mempool and detect your incoming buy transaction before it's confirmed. They buy the token right before you, driving the price up, then sell immediately after - forcing you into an instant loss. Also called a "sandwich attack." Shotgun's MEV Protection routes transactions through protected channels to prevent this. **Migration** The process where a token that reaches 100% of its bonding curve is automatically moved to a DEX like Raydium, where open-market trading begins. **Mint Authority** A permission built into some Solana token contracts that allows the creator to mint additional tokens at any time. If not revoked, the developer can inflate the supply and dilute existing holders. *** ## P **PnL (Profit and Loss)** Your gain or loss from a trade or position, expressed in SOL/USD or as a percentage. * **Unrealized PnL** - current gain/loss on a position you still hold (not yet sold) * **Realized PnL** - locked-in gain/loss from a position you have fully closed **Position-Based Order** A limit order type that calculates the sell quantity as a percentage of your current holdings at the time of execution - automatically adjusting if you add to or partially exit the position before the trigger fires. **Priority Fee** An additional fee paid to Solana validators to prioritize your transaction during network congestion. Higher priority fees increase the chance of fast confirmation but cost more SOL. *** ## R **Rug Pull** A type of crypto scam where token developers withdraw liquidity and/or abandon the project, leaving all holders with worthless tokens. High developer holdings and unlocked liquidity are warning signs. *** ## S **Slippage** The difference between the expected price of a trade when you submit it and the actual price when it executes. Higher slippage tolerance allows your trade to complete even if the price moves during confirmation - but you may get a worse fill. **Snipers %** The percentage of a token's early supply acquired by sniper bots at launch. High sniper % means early buyers may dump quickly for profit. Visible in the Token Information panel. *** ## T **Top 10 Holders %** The percentage of a token's total supply held by the top 10 wallet addresses. Lower values indicate a more decentralized distribution. High concentration in few wallets = higher dump risk. **Trailing Stop Loss** An advanced limit sell order where the stop price automatically rises as the market price increases, then locks when the price starts to fall. Lets you capture upside while protecting against a reversal. **Trader** The wallet address that initiated a trade. Visible in the Pool Trades feed on any token page. Clicking a trader address lets you add it to your Wallet Tracker. **Trenches** Shotgun's real-time launchpad monitoring tool. Displays three columns simultaneously: **New Pairs** (just launched), **Graduating** (near migration), and **Graduated** (migrated to DEX). Supports per-column filters and direct quick buy from the board. **Turnkey** The authentication and wallet infrastructure provider used by Shotgun. Turnkey handles wallet creation and key encryption for email/Google login users. Private keys are encrypted with your password and are never accessible to Turnkey or Shotgun. *** ## U **Unrealized PnL** See *PnL (Profit and Loss)*. *** ## V **Vesting** A schedule that releases tokens to recipients (often developers or team members) over time, rather than all at once. Vesting contracts are flagged in the Holders section. Large vesting amounts = potential future sell pressure when tokens unlock. **Volume Insights** A panel on the token page showing price performance and trading volume broken down across four timeframes: 5m, 1h, 4h, and 24h. Includes total volume, number of buys/sells, and net volume direction. *** ## W **Win Rate** The percentage of your closed trades that were profitable. A KOL entering or existing a position with size can be very telling. *** ## Related Features * **Trader Scan** - view wallet-level activity for any specific token from the orderbook interface. See [Trader Scan](/features/trader-scan). * **Wallet Tracking** - add wallets to your watch list to receive alerts when they make moves. See [Wallet Tracking](/wallet-tracking/adding-wallets). # Top Movers Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/finding-tokens/top-movers Top Movers is your real-time view of the highest-performing tokens on Shotgun, organised by market cap range. Unlike Trenches - which focuses on the earliest stage of token life cycles - Top Movers tracks tokens that have already built momentum and are being actively traded across different size categories. You can **Quick Buy** any token directly from the Top Movers board by clicking the buy button next to the token - no need to open the full token page first. *** ## The Three Columns Top Movers splits tokens across three market cap ranges, all visible simultaneously. Each column is an independent live feed ranked by performance within that size category. ### Small Cap - Under \$50K Tokens with a current market cap below \$50K. The highest risk, highest reward category - these tokens move fast and can multiply quickly, but are also the most volatile. Use this column to: * Catch small tokens with early momentum before they move up in cap size * Spot tokens approaching the Medium Cap range * Assess risk metrics before entering a position ### Medium Cap - \$50K-\$500K Tokens with a current market cap between \$50K and \$500K. These tokens have proven some demand and are in active price discovery. Use this column to: * Find tokens with established momentum and growing volume * Identify tokens that have survived the early Small Cap phase * Trade with slightly more liquidity and stability than Small Cap ### Large Cap - Over \$500K Tokens with a current market cap above \$500K. These are the most established tokens in the Top Movers board - higher liquidity, more holders, and more stable price action. Use this column to: * Trade higher-cap tokens with lower slippage * Monitor large tokens for breakout moves * Compare performance against their all-time high market cap *** ## The ATH Bar The most important metric on the Top Movers board is the **ATH (All-Time High) Market Cap bar**, displayed below each token. The bar shows how close the token's **current market cap** is to its **all-time high market cap**. The further the bar is filled, the closer the token is to its previous peak. | Bar State | What It Means | | ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Short bar (low fill)** | Token is far below its ATH - large upside potential if it recovers | | **Long bar (high fill)** | Token is approaching or near its ATH - potential resistance ahead | | **Full bar** | Token is at or beyond its ATH - price discovery territory | **Why this matters:** * A token near its ATH with strong volume could be breaking out to new highs * A token far from its ATH with rising volume could be staging a recovery * Comparing current MC to ATH MC gives you context that price alone doesn't The ATH value is shown in green text below each token (e.g. **ATH \$54K**). The bar fills from left to right as the current market cap approaches that figure. *** ## Token Metrics Each token card shows the following data at a glance: | Metric | Description | | --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **L** | Liquidity - total value in the trading pool | | **V** | Volume - total trading volume in the current period | | **MC** | Current market cap | | **TXNs** | Total number of transactions | | **ATH** | All-time high market cap with progress bar showing current MC vs ATH | | **Top 10 H. %** | % of supply held by the top 10 wallets | | **Dev H. %** | % of supply held by the developer wallet | | **Snipers %** | % of supply held by early sniper bots | | **Insiders %** | % of supply held by insider wallets | | **Bundlers %** | % of supply held in bundle wallets | *** ## Rankings The top 3 tokens in each column are ranked with medal icons - gold, silver, and bronze. Rankings are based on performance within that market cap range and update in real time. *** ## Risk Signals to Watch When evaluating tokens in Top Movers, pay attention to these warning signs: * **High Dev Holdings %** - developers holding a large % can dump at any time * **High Snipers %** - if bots sniped heavily at launch, early holders may dump quickly * **High Bundlers %** - coordinated wallets can create artificial pump-and-dump patterns * **Token near ATH with declining volume** - momentum may be fading A token near its ATH does not mean it will continue higher. Always check volume, liquidity, and risk metrics before entering a position. # Trenches Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/finding-tokens/trenches Trenches is your real-time window into the earliest stages of token life cycles. It monitors launchpad tokens without requiring you to leave Shotgun - giving you faster access to new launches, tokens approaching migration, and freshly migrated tokens, all-in-one place. You can **Quick Buy** any token directly from the Trenches tables by clicking the ⚡ lightning bolt icon next to the token - no need to open the full token page first. *** ## The Three Stages **New Pairs** shows every token created on pump.fun in real time - catching opportunities before anyone else. Use this tab to: * Spot freshly launched tokens at the earliest possible moment * Assess early metrics (holders, volume, dev holdings) before a crowd forms * Quick Buy directly from the table with the ⚡ icon **Graduating** shows tokens that are close to completing their bonding curve and migrating. These tokens have real momentum - getting in here means you can catch the pump before migration is announced publicly. Tokens in Graduating have already proven some demand. Migration often triggers a sharp price move as liquidity deepens. **Graduated** shows tokens that have successfully completed their bonding curve - sorted with the most recent migrations at the top. Use this tab to: * Catch the early minutes of listed tokens * Identify which tokens survived migration (many don't reach 100% bonding) * Pair with [Instant Trade](/shotgun/swap/instant-trade) to automate your entry at the exact moment of migration *** ## Filters Use Trenches filters to cut through noise and focus only on tokens that meet your criteria. Click the filter icon to open the filter panel. | Filter | Description | | -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Age (mins)** | Filter tokens based on how many minutes since launch. Useful for focusing on the very newest tokens. | | **Top 10 Holders %** | Range for the % of supply held by the top 10 wallets. Lower values = more decentralized. | | **Dev Holding %** | % of supply held by the developer wallet. High dev holdings = higher rug pull risk. | | **Snipers %** | % of supply held by early sniper bots. High sniper % can indicate bot-dominated early buys. | | **Insiders %** | % held by insiders (private sale, team). Useful for spotting potential pump-and-dump setups. | | **Bundle %** | % of supply held in bundle wallets. Helps assess token distribution concentration. | | **Holders** | Total number of unique wallet holders. More holders generally indicates broader adoption. | | **Pro Traders** | % of experienced traders (identified by onchain activity) holding or trading the token. | | **Liquidity (\$)** | Min/max liquidity in the token's pool. Higher liquidity = better price stability and lower slippage. | | **Volume (\$)** | Total trading volume within the current window. Helps identify active tokens. | | **Market Cap (\$)** | Min/max market cap filter. Target the size of opportunity you're looking for. | | **Txns** | Number of total transactions. High txn count = active trading. | | **Num Buys** | Number of buy transactions specifically. Indicates buying pressure. | | **Num Sells** | Number of sell transactions specifically. Indicates selling pressure. | *** ## Risk Signals to Watch When evaluating tokens in Trenches, pay attention to these warning signs: * **High Dev Holding %** - developers holding a large % can dump at any time * **High Sniper %** - if bots sniped heavily at launch, early holders may dump quickly * **High Bundle %** - coordinated wallets can create artificial pump-and-dump patterns * **Low Holders with high volume** - wash trading by a small group of wallets Trenches shows early-stage tokens with high risk profiles. Always use filters and assess the risk signals above before buying. Many tokens in these tables will go to zero. # Multi-wallet Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/multi-wallet ## What Is Multi-Walleting? Multi-walleting refers to the practice of utilizing multiple Solana wallet addresses concurrently for token purchases or other onchain activities. Rather than relying on a single address for all transactions, traders or collectors spread their activity across several wallets. This approach can offer benefits such as: 1. Distribution of Risk: Holding tokens in many wallets can mitigate risk. If one address encounters a security issue or gets compromised, the others remain unaffected 2. Enhanced Privacy: Using multiple Wallets will help to hide overall trading activity since onchain transactions are partially dispersed. ### Shotgun's Multi-Walleting Feature * **Unified Dashboard:** A single control panel where traders can view all connected wallets at once-balances, open orders, and recent transactions. * **Quick Wallet Switching:** Users can seamlessly switch from one wallet to another without needing to log out or open separate browser windows. * **Customization and Labeling:** Being able to label or name each wallet makes it easier to organize strategies (e.g., "Flipping Wallet," "Long-Term Holding," "Memecoin Trading Wallet," etc.). * **Create New Wallets:** You can create new Solana wallets directly within Shotgun - no external wallet setup required. New wallets are instantly available for trading and can be funded right away. ### Turbo Mode (Beta) Turbo Mode is Shotgun's premium execution feature for traders who need every edge they can get. When enabled, Turbo Mode fans out your transaction across multiple fast lanes simultaneously - so your trade races through every available path at once. While others send one transaction and hope, you're hitting every door. Your bribe is automatically routed to the right validator at the right time, maximising confirmation speed while ensuring your transaction only lands once. No double executions. No wasted fees. More paths. More chances. Faster trades. Enabling Turbo Mode requires setting up nonce accounts, which costs approximately 0.0073 SOL. This is a one-time network cost - none of it goes to Shotgun. Turbo Mode is currently in Beta. Whether it's a new token launch, high chain traffic, or just a trade you refuse to lose - Turbo Mode puts you at the front. # Portfolio Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/portfolio The Portfolio page gives you a full breakdown of your trading performance - from real-time PnL stats to a detailed history of every token you've traded. *** ## Stats Panel At the top-left, the stats panel summarizes your overall trading performance: | Metric | Description | | ----------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | | **Realized PnL** | Total profit or loss from all closed trades | | **ROI** | Return on investment across all trades | | **Unr. Instant trade is a system built and customized by Shotgun to make it easier than ever to trade **YOUR** favorite Memecoins. It is a popup next to your chart which allows you to buy and sell with one click of a button! # Limit Orders Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/swap/limit-orders To trade like the pros, take advantage of Shotgun's Limit Orders system. This fundamental form of automated trading lets you set a precise market cap target for your buy or sell, ensuring your trade executes only at your desired level - regardless of where the market is right now. With limit orders, you can step away from the screen, hold onto your conviction trades, and eliminate emotional decision-making. Simply use the slider bar in the trading menu or drag and drop the market cap line directly on the chart for seamless order placement. *** ## Order Types ### 🟢 Buy Dip (Limit Buy) A **Buy Dip** order automatically purchases a token when its market cap falls to your specified target level. **Use it when:** You believe a token will dip before pumping and want to enter at a better market cap without watching the chart. **How to set up:** Navigate to the token you want to buy and switch from Market to Limit mode. Enter the market cap (or % below current) at which you want the order to trigger. Specify how much SOL to spend when the order triggers. Quick-select buttons are available (e.g. 0.1, 0.5, 1 SOL). Review the market cap context shown next to your target. Click confirm - the order is now live and will execute automatically. **Example:** Token is trading at \$48.2K market cap. You set a Buy Dip at \$46.1K market cap for 0.5 SOL. If the market cap drops to \$46.1K, Shotgun automatically buys. *** ### 🔴 Stop Loss (Limit Sell) A **Stop Loss** order automatically sells a portion (or all) of your position if the market cap drops to a specified level, protecting you from further losses. **Use it when:** You're in a position and want to cap your downside risk without needing to watch the chart. **How to set up:** Navigate to the token you hold and switch to Limit mode. Enter the market cap at which the sell should trigger. You can also drag the stop loss line directly on the chart. Choose a fixed token amount or select a percentage of your position (25% / 50% / 75% / 100%). Click confirm. The order monitors the market cap and executes automatically if the trigger is hit. **Example:** You bought at \$50.2K market cap. You set a Stop Loss at \$48.1K market cap for 100% of your position. If the market cap drops to \$48.1K, Shotgun automatically sells your entire holding. *** ### 🟡 Take Profit (Limit Sell) A **Take Profit** order automatically sells a portion (or all) of your position when the market cap rises to your target, locking in gains. **Use it when:** You have a market cap target in mind and want to guarantee you sell at that level without being glued to the chart. **How to set up:** Navigate to the token you hold and switch to Limit mode. Enter your exit market cap. You can also drag the take profit line directly on the chart. Choose a fixed amount or a percentage (25% / 50% / 75% / 100%). Click confirm. Shotgun monitors the market cap and automatically sells when the target is reached. **Example:** You bought at \$50.1K market cap. You set a Take Profit at \$55.3K market cap for 50% of your position. When the market cap hits \$55.3K, Shotgun sells half your holding and you keep the rest running. *** ## Fixed vs. Position-Based Limit Orders When setting a Take Profit or Stop Loss, you can choose between two order modes: | | **Fixed Amount** | **Position-Based** | | ---------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | | **What it tracks** | A specific token amount set at order creation | A % of your current position at time of trigger | | **Best for** | Simple, single-entry trades | DCA strategies or positions you add to over time | | **Adjusts after additional buys?** | ❌ No - update manually | ✅ Yes - scales automatically | | **Risk of failure?** | Yes, if you sell below the reserved amount | ❌ No - always calculates from current holdings | **Why this matters - two scenarios:** You buy 1,000 BRETT at \$50K market cap and set a Take Profit (Fixed) at \$100K market cap for 1,000 tokens. Later, you buy another 1,000 BRETT at \$60K market cap - now holding 2,000 tokens. When market cap hits \$100K: * **Fixed order** → sells only the original 1,000 tokens (50% of your position). You must manually update the order to cover the rest. * **Position-based order** → automatically scales to sell your full 2,000 tokens. You hold 1,000 BRETT with a Take Profit (Fixed) at \$100K market cap for 1,000 tokens. You manually sell 100 tokens before the target - now holding 900. When market cap hits \$100K: * **Fixed order** → fails (tries to sell 1,000 but you only hold 900). * **Position-based order** → adjusts automatically to sell 900 tokens. Order executes successfully. **Recommendation:** Use Position-Based orders when you're actively managing a position through multiple buys or partial sells. Use Fixed orders for simple, one-entry trades where your position size won't change. *** ## Managing Open Limit Orders All your active limit orders are visible from: * **The token page** → "Limit Orders" tab (shows orders for that specific token) To cancel an order, click on it and select **Cancel**. Canceled orders release the reserved funds back to your available balance immediately. # Market Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/swap/market Market orders execute immediately at the current market price. Use them when speed matters more than price precision. *** ## 🟢 Buy To place a **Market Buy** order, follow these steps: 1. **Find your token** - Search by ticker or paste the contract address in the search bar. You can also click any token directly from [Trenches](/shotgun/finding-tokens/trenches). 2. **Select the Buy tab** - Ensure the **Buy** tab is highlighted in the order panel on the right side of the token page. 3. **Set the order type to Market** - Select **Market** to execute at the current price immediately. 4. **Enter the amount** - In the **Total** field, enter the amount of SOL you want to spend. Use the quick-select buttons (0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1 SOL) for fast entry. 5. **Review transaction settings** - Confirm your **Priority Fee**, **Slippage**, and **MEV Protection** settings at the bottom of the panel before submitting. 6. **Confirm Buy** - Click the green **Buy** button to execute the order. This action will **buy** the token immediately at the current market price. The final token amount received depends on available liquidity and your slippage setting. *** ## 🔴 Sell To place a **Market Sell** order, follow these steps: 1. **Open the token page** - Navigate to the token you want to sell. Your current position (amount held and PnL) is shown at the top of the order panel. 2. **Select the Sell tab** - Ensure the **Sell** tab is highlighted in the order panel. 3. **Set the order type to Market** - Select **Market** to sell at the current price immediately. 4. **Specify the amount** - Enter the number of tokens you wish to sell, or use the quick-select percentage buttons (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) to sell a portion or your full position. 5. **Review transaction settings** - Check your **Priority Fee** and **Slippage** at the bottom of the panel. 6. **Confirm Sell** - Click the red **Sell** button to execute the order. *** ## ⚙️ Transaction Settings Before placing any market order, review these three settings: | Setting | What it does | | ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Priority Fee** | Extra SOL paid to Solana validators to speed up your transaction during network congestion. Higher fee = faster confirmation. | | **Slippage** | The maximum % price movement you'll accept between submitting and executing your trade. Too low = failed transactions; too high = worse fill price. | | **MEV Protection** | Routes your transaction through private channels to prevent sandwich attacks - bots buying before you and selling immediately after. Check the minimum MEV bribe amount shown in the top-right corner of Shotgun and set your protection fee above it. | MEV Protection is only necessary for **buy** transactions. It is not required for most sells. # Token Page Source: https://docs2.shotgun.fun/shotgun/token-page The Token Page is your command center for evaluating and trading any individual token on Shotgun. Price data, onchain analysis, trade history, holder distribution, and your order entry panel - all visible in one place. *** ## Token Header The top bar shows the essential information for the token you're viewing: * **Token name & logo** - with a copy icon for the contract address * **Age** - how long since the token was listed * **MCap** - current market capitalisation * **Price** - current token price in USD * **Liquidity** - total value in the trading pool * **Supply** - total token supply * **Social links** - website, X (formerly Twitter), Telegram (if set by the project) * **Watchlist toggle** - click the ⭐ star to save this token for quick access later *** ## Price Chart The chart is powered by **TradingView** and supports: * **Candlestick view** across multiple timeframes (1s, 1m, 3m, 1h, 1d, and more) * **Indicators** - add technical analysis overlays directly to the chart * **Hide Bubbles** - toggle on/off trade bubbles shown on the chart * **Market Cap / Price toggle** - switch the chart display between market cap and price view * **Drawing tools** - trendlines, annotations, and more via the left toolbar *** ## Bottom Tabs Below the chart, five tabs give you different views of onchain activity for this token. ### Pool Trades The live trade feed shows every buy and sell transaction on this token in real time. | Column | Description | | ---------------- | ---------------------------------- | | **Age** | Time since the transaction | | **Type** | Buy (green) or Sell (red) | | **Token Amount** | Number of tokens bought or sold | | **USD** | USD value of the transaction | | **Price** | Price at which the trade executed | | **Trader** | Wallet address that made the trade | **How to use the feed:** * Watch the ratio of green (buy) vs red (sell) rows to gauge real-time buying and selling pressure * Click a trader address to add it to your Wallet Tracker * Use the currency toggle to switch display between USD and SOL ### Your Holdings Shows your personal position on this token - your buy/sell history, average entry price, current holding, and realized/unrealized PnL. ### Holders Shows the distribution of token supply across wallet addresses, ranked by holding size. | Column | Description | | ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Trader** | Wallet address (shortened); may show exchange or protocol labels for known addresses | | **Bought** | Total USD spent buying this token | | **Sold** | Total USD received from selling | | **PnL** | Profit or loss on this position | | **Remaining** | Current USD value and % of total supply held | **What to look for:** * **Concentration risk** - if the top 3–5 wallets hold a large % of supply, one seller can move the price significantly * **Exchange wallets** - large holdings by known exchanges (Gate.io, MEXC, Raydium) are generally neutral * **Dev wallet activity** - a developer wallet actively selling is a red flag ### Limit Orders Shows all your active limit orders on this token - Buy Dip, Take Profit, Stop Loss, and Trailing Stop Loss. Cancel or review any order directly from this tab. ### Top Traders Shows the top performing traders on this token, ranked by PnL. Use this to identify wallets worth tracking. ### Dev Tokens Shows other tokens previously launched by the same developer wallet. Lower = more decentralised. | | **Dev H.** | % held by the developer wallet. High values = higher rug risk. | | **Insiders** | % held by insider wallets. | | **Snipers** | % held by early sniper bots. High sniper % = potential early dump risk. | | **Migrated** | Number of times this token has migrated (e.g. from bonding curve to DEX). | | **LP Burned** | Whether liquidity pool tokens have been burned. Burned LP = safer liquidity. | | **Holders** | Total number of unique wallet holders. | | **Dex Paid** | Whether the developer has paid for DEX listing. | | **Bundlers** | % of supply held in bundle wallets.
